On Saturday, March 25 – i slipped and fell and hit the left side of my head and was rushed to the hospital.
I was very lucky that a brain surgeon was there on my arrival as I was already in coma and did not waste time but immediately sent me for CT scan. He was able to operate at once as there was an empty operating theater. I was also very fortunate that there was one bed in ICU with life support system to hook me up when I come out of the operation. God is good to me.
In the first brain surgery at 1.30pm, 7 holes were drilled to remove the blood from my brain. They sent me to ICU at 5.30pm. The surgeon came to check on me and something was wrong and I had a 2nd CT scan where he saw another bleeding at the base of my brain stem. He had to operate again to stop the 2nd bleeding. Later he later he told my dad that he has operated on hundreds of this kind of serious injury and only 1-2 per cent can walk again. He didn’t think that I was in that 1-2 percent. My dad was also told by the surgeon that he thought that he was going to lose me on the operating table and if I do wake up I probably will be a vegetable, not able to talk, not able to walk.
On Wednesday, March 29,My mom was told that the injury had caused deep structural damage in my brain To make matters worse, it was only, after 4 days that they found my contact lenses on both eyes. And that caused both my corneas to be badly scarred by fungal infection. The eye specialist said that I will be blind unless I have cornea transplant for both my eyes.
Heartfelt tears came to my eyes when my mum told me how the youths all came to prayer meeting on March 29 and cried out to God for my life and for a miracle. FGA KL, you all demonstrated unity and loving me with one heart – bringing down heaven in your love for me.
On march 30, when my mom went into ICU to ask how I was the night before, the nurse told her that both my arms from elbow up bergerak(move) and they had to tie both my wrists to the side of the bed for my safety.
That afternoon, my mom told me that when she said, “Paul, if you can hear me squeeze my hand,” I responded. Hallelujah. God was beginning the healing process.
More crises happened after that, but God took me safely through crisis after crisis. One of those crisis was rigors. Rigors is fits with very very high fever. People mostly come out of it a vegetable. Being a vegetable means that even though you’re alive, you will not function normally – you can’t think for yourself, you won’t know right from wrong, you won’t have emotions. In other words, you may be “alive” as in breathing, can open your eyes, but you’re really dead – because you can’t experience anything. You can’t enjoy anything. You just exist. Miraculously, I came out of the coma after only 21 days and I was normal.
God showed my mother’s friend a vision, where she saw a big, tall angel with wings standing at my bedside. He took his right hand, plucked one feather from his left wing, and his left hand and plucked a feather from his right wing and put these 2 feathers on both my eyes. One month later the eye specialist came to check on me. He said that someone up there must be taking care of me because now my eyeballs are no more grey like dead fish but becoming round, dark and healthy looking. I did not go for any cornea transplant but I am able to see very well.In another vision ,she saw Jesus standing by my bedside
Today, I am a living miracle. I can breath on my own, I did not lose my memory. I can talk and walk. The eye specialist said that he has no explanation for the recovery of my eyesight and only a miracle could have healed the damage to my corneas. Truly, our God is a miracle working God. God also met all my financial needs.
Well my eye power for my right eye before the accident was 450 and for my left eye is 350 but after i was discharge from the hospital, went to the optician, and my eye power for my right eye is 350 and for my left eye is 300.
and before my accident i was a normal young man BUT after my accident i have epilepsy(fits). but i can proudly declare that i have been fits free for 2 years 5 months Praise to be God!
Paul, you have always been an inspiration and a blessing to me. I always thank God for letting our paths crossed. I will always remember that day we watched the sunrise together because that day you truly blessed my life. God bless, Paul :)
